The NEXiO is a closed system. Its 10ml pod arrives sealed and is not refillable; the 8ml reservoir simply feeds the 2ml chamber as you use it. The device is a 1000mAh aluminium body measuring 28 by 28 by 125mm, draw-activated with an LED battery indicator, and charges over Type-C in around ninety minutes from empty. The pods are rated by the manufacturer at up to 10,000 puffs each, which is a laboratory estimate produced under controlled draw conditions and will not match how anyone actually uses the device.

The PRO and PRO 2 share pods, which is unusual in this range and genuinely useful. Every pod in the IVG PRO Range fits both devices, so upgrading from a PRO 10K to a PRO 2 10K does not orphan your pod stock. The PRO system uses a push-and-click auto-fill: the 2ml pod pushes into the 10ml container, fills itself, seals, and slides into the device. The PRO 2 at £13.95 adds a touch battery display over the standard PRO kit at £10.95.

SMART MAX pods use the same 2ml plus 10ml auto-fill principle but are not interchangeable with PRO pods. The device runs a 0.8 ohm mesh coil, weighs about 90 grams, and has a display showing battery percentage and charging progress along with a switch between Boost and Eco modes. Boost draws more power per puff and empties the battery faster; Eco does the reverse. The XL35 uses the same display and mode logic with a 1100mAh battery, dual 1.1 ohm coils and a 22ml pod.

At the other end, a £7.95 refill pod holding 12ml comes to about 66p per ml, and a £7.95 NEXiO pod holding 10ml is closer to 80p. That is four to five times the per-millilitre cost of the 2400 pods. The gap is not arbitrary: those pods are single-flavour, larger, higher capacity per unit and carry their own coil, so you are replacing the atomiser every time rather than only the liquid. But the arithmetic is worth seeing before you assume the expensive pod is the economical choice.

Kit pricing is consistent enough to plan around. Across NEXiO, PRO and SMART MAX, the kit is exactly £3.00 more than the pod, and that £3.00 is a one-off. The PRO 2 breaks the pattern at £13.95, £6.00 more than the pod, which reflects the different device rather than a different pod.
